LONDON - When the people of Britain narrowly voted back in 2016 to leave the European Union, nobody - neither those supporting the separation from Europe nor those opposing it - believed that the process would take a long time.
Yet as Britain this week marks four years since that seminal vote, none of the critical questions about the political and trade relationship between the island-state and the continent has been settled.
