At least seven people have died after heavy snowfall blanketed parts of Europe, with the deluge of snow paralysing travel and tourism. Several regions in Austria and Germany have declared states of emergency as some roads, railways and ski resorts were closed due to the snow. 

The same case officer will be assigned to prison inmates from the beginning of their sentence until they are fully integrated into the community after their release, as part of efforts to help former offenders reintegrate.
