CAIRO (AFP) - Egypt's opposition Islamist coalition branded on Wednesday a call by the army chief for mass rallies to justify a crackdown on 'terrorism' "an announcement of civil war."
"(General Abdel Fattah) al-Sisi's threats are an announcement of civil war," said the Muslim Brotherhood-led coalition which has been demanding president Mohamed Mursi's reinstatement ever since his overthrow in a July 3 coup.
