MADRID (AFP) - The death toll from the derailment of a train in Galicia in north-western Spain has climbed to 80, according to a new toll published by the central government representative in the region. It is the worst rail accident in Spain since 1944, when hundreds were killed in a train collision, also between Madrid and Galicia.
