Saudi Arabia's powerful Crown Prince is intent on finding a way to emerge unscathed from the outcry over the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, but he may well end up weakened, say analysts.

There is widespread scepticism over Saudi Arabia's statement blaming Mr Khashoggi's death on a "fistfight" in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
