Climate battle will be won or lost by businesses, says leading US economist

SINGAPORE - 2022 has been an eye-opening, shocking year for climate impacts, and businesses need to get on the same page to accelerate the transition to a global green economy in what has become a battle against climate change, an influential US economist said.

Businesses, especially the fossil fuel giants, are leading sources of greenhouse gases heating up the planet, but they are also key to stabilising global temperatures and reducing the threats arising from man-made climate change.
