Car bombs kill 25 across the Iraqi capital

BAGHDAD (REUTERS) - A series of car bombs targeting markets and shopping streets in Baghdad killed at least 25 people and wounded more than 60 on Tuesday, Iraqi medical and police sources said.

Such attacks have increased in Iraq since the start of the year. More than 1,000 Iraqis were killed in July, the highest monthly death toll since 2008, the United Nations said last week.
