Boston blasts: US funeral director considers burial offers

BOSTON (AP) - A funeral director says the mother of a Boston Marathon bombing suspect wants the body returned to Russia for burial.

But Mr Peter Stefan says he doesn't think Russia will take the body of Tamerlan Tsarnaev and is working on other arrangements, which include offers from out-of-state cemeteries.

Mr Stefan said on Monday he couldn't be more specific, yet. He added he was worried protests will rise up at any place that agrees to bury Tsarnaev, as they have at his own funeral home.

Mr Stefan has said he plans to ask for a burial in the city of Cambridge, where Tsarnaev lived. Cambridge has urged him not to do so.
