Bomb blast kills 8, wounds dozens in central Damascus square

DAMASCUS (AFP) - Eight people were killed and another 50 wounded in a bomb blast in Hijaz square at the heart of the Syrian capital, state news agency Sana said.

"Eight citizens, including two women, were killed in an explosion caused by a bomb placed by terrorists at the entrance to the Hijaz railroad company," Sana said, using the regime's term for rebels.
