Aussie minister sorry he 'liked' exposed teen picture

SYDNEY (AP) - An Australian politician says he's learned a valuable lesson in social networking after he "liked" a Facebook photo without realising that it showed a teenage prankster exposing himself.

Western Australia Minister for Education Peter Collier said he clicked the "like" button under what he thought was an innocent photo of the then-16-year-old in late 2011.

Mr Collier said on Thursday that he had no idea the teen was playing a popular prank known as "sneaky nuts."

The trend began with a character on Australian comedian Chris Lilley's TV show "Angry Boys" who started ruining group photos by secretly exposing himself.

The Collier incident began attracting attention recently after the teen in the photo bragged about it on Twitter late last month.

An embarrassed Mr Collier has apologised.
