Army plane crashes in eastern Algeria, 99 dead: radio

ALGIERS (AFP) - An Algerian military aircraft crashed in the east of the country on Tuesday, killing at least 99 people, Algerian radio announced.

The C-130 Hercules aircraft, which crashed in Oum El Bouaghi, around 500km east of the capital, was carrying soldiers and members of their families, a security source said.
