TEXAS (REUTERS) - US Vice-President Mike Pence says he and his wife Karen are "most inspired" by the volunteers who have come out to help victims of Hurricane Harvey rebuild.

Mr Pence visited Texas on Thursday (Aug 31), touring the coastal city of Rockport, where Harvey slammed ashore onto the mainland late Friday.

President Donald Trump was to return to the region on Saturday.
