As the mosquito-borne Zika virus spreads across the Americas, Peru and Uruguay step up efforts to curb a national outbreak.

LATIN AMERICA (REUTERS) - As the mosquito-borne Zika virus spreads across the Americas, some countries seem to be faring better than others.

Uruguay has yet to register a case, and Peru only has one so far - a Venezuelan man who travelled through Colombia before arriving in Lima.

For them, stopping the virus at their borders is crucial.
