BUENOS AIRES (AFP) - The Group of 20 major economies, in a summit statement on Saturday (Dec 1), omitted past language on fighting protectionism, amid the hawkish trade stance of United States President Donald Trump.

A statement adopted at the end of the two-day summit in Buenos Aires instead only recognised the "contribution" of the "multilateral trading system", but said it was "falling short" in goals of growth and job creation.
