Calls for justice at funeral of man killed by New York police
Mourners heard a rallying cry for justice Saturday at the New York funeral of an unarmed black man shot dead by police amid a wave of nationwide protests against similar killings.
Akai Gurley, 28, a father of a young daughter, was shot dead when a police officer opened fire in a dimly lit staircase at a Brooklyn apartment building as he walked with his girlfriend late on Nov 20.
Friends and relatives filed past Gurley's open casket to pay their respects at the Brown Memorial Baptist Church, before the lid was closed and a huge spray of red and white flowers placed on top of the grey coffin.

Mothers in breastfeeding protest at top London hotel
A group of mothers staged a group breastfeed outside one of London's top hotels Saturday after a woman nursing her baby there was told to cover up.
The protest at Claridge's came after Louise Burns, 35, was asked to cover the head of her three-month-old daughter Isadora with a napkin while breastfeeding during afternoon tea on Monday.
Her case has prompted a debate over the rights and wrongs of breastfeeding in public, with Prime Minister David Cameron supporting women's rights to do so.

World's largest truffle sells for over $80,000 at auction
Consider it a bargain: The world's largest white truffle sold at auction Saturday for US$61,250 (S$81,000) - far less than the cool US$1 million its owner reportedly had hoped for.
The White Alba's Truffle weighed 1.89 kilos when unearthed last week in the Umbrian region of Italy, making it by far the largest ever found.
Sotheby's said it was purchased by a gourmand from Taiwan, who had placed his winning bid by telephone.

Football: Record-breaking Ronaldo leads Real to new high
Cristiano Ronaldo netted a record 23rd hat-trick in La Liga and his 200th goal in the Spanish top flight as Real Madrid equalled a Spanish record of 18 consecutive wins in all competitions with a 3-0 win over Celta Vigo on Saturday.
Ronaldo passes Telmo Zarra, whose record as La Liga's all-time top goalscorer was recently usurped by Lionel Messi, and Madrid legend Alfredo di Stefano who both scored 22 hat-tricks to reach his double century of La Liga goals in just 179 games.
Carlo Ancelotti's men have now matched the winning run record set by Frank Rijkaard's Barcelona side in the 2005/06 season, and have the chance to go one better at home to Ludogorets in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Swimming: Alia Atkinson becomes first black woman to win a world title
Alia Atkinson became the first black woman to win a world swimming title when she triumphed in the 100m breaststroke at the world short-course championships on Saturday as more records tumbled.
Jamaican Atkinson, 25, claimed the title and equalled Ruta Meilutyte's world record of 1min 02.36sec in the process - although under governing body Fina rules this still equates to a new record.
That took the total of world records set at the Hamad Aquatic Centre to 17.
