The pontiff is on his first tour of Africa, visiting Kenya, Uganda and the Central African Republic (CAR) in a whirlwind six-day trip.
The 78-year-old has not cancelled his last leg to the conflict-wrecked CAR despite worries about security and he is expected to reiterate messages of peace and interfaith dialogue in the country which has witnessed clashes between Muslims and Christians.
