Four cooling towers at a power station in Yorkshire, Britain, were demolished in a controlled explosion yesterday. The towers were among five that had been scheduled to be demolished following the closure of Ferrybridge Power Station in 2016, said media reports. About 140 homes were evacuated and a 300m exclusion zone was set up around the site before the explosion.
