In Friday's (Aug 16) episode, technology correspondent Chong Koh Ping will talk about what causes lithium-ion batteries to explode. These batteries are found in personal mobility devices, phones, and laptops. She will also discuss the precautions one should take when charging the batteries.
Following that, assistant sports editor Rohit Brijnath will share more about a new video series, The Pro, which follows the journey of six professional athletes, and why it is easier to turn professional in some sports, such as swimming and table tennis, compared to others. The video series will premiere on Aug 17 on www.straitstimes.com.
Lastly, political correspondent Rachel Au-Yong will share about the paper's planned coverage of the upcoming National Day Rally on Sunday, which will include videos on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's speech.
