SINGAPORE - Catch up with the hottest topics on The Straits Times' new weekday talk show.

The Big Story, broadcast every weekday at 5.30pm on Facebook and YouTube, has reporters and senior editors discussing the top stories of the day, in the heart of the newsroom.

In Monday's (Aug 19) episode, The Straits Times news editor Zakir Hussain will give his analysis of the plans and proposals announced during the National Day Rally speech on Sunday, including these topics: revision of the retirement age; Singapore's economy; more families qualifying for education subsidies; climate change; and the transformation of Singapore's infrastructure.
