Launching at Comex 2016, the Casio WSD-F10 is the first Android Wear smartwatch from the Japanese timepiece maker.

As you might expect from Casio, this smartwatch is built to withstand the great outdoors. It is water-resistant to a depth of 50m and has passed the US MIL-STD-810G military standard endurance tests for drops and vibrations.

In addition, it features a digital compass, as well as a built-in altimeter and barometer. Furthermore, its unique dual-layer structure features separate layers of monochrome and colour LCDs.

Wearers can toggle between the two LCDs - monochrome, to conserve battery; and colour, for apps and notifications.

It has a built-in heart-rate monitor to keep track of your heart rate throughout your exercises without the hassle of a chest- strap monitor.

The 735XT is also a fitness tracker that monitors your daily step count, calories burnt and sleep quality. When paired with a smartphone, it can display notifications for incoming text and e-mail messages.

3 Garmin Vivomove Classic

Booth 6243

It looks like a conventional classic watch with analogue movement and leather strap. But the Garmin Vivomove Classic is actually a fitness tracker that monitors your steps taken, calories burnt and even your sleep patterns.

The watch face also has a move bar and a progress bar. The move bar will slowly fill up to red unless you move, while the progress bar shows how far along you are towards your daily step goal.

The Vivomove Classic is water resistant to a depth of 50m. The CR2025 coin battery that powers it can last up to a year before it needs to be changed.

4 Samsung Gear Fit2
$248 (usual price $298)

Booth 8368

This is no simple fitness tracker that monitors only your daily physical activities and measures your heart rate. It is one of the few fitness trackers equipped with a built-in GPS to track your running. So it does not need to be paired with a smartphone for GPS tracking.

And when it is paired with a smartphone, the 1.5-inch curved touchscreen display lets you stay up to date with your fitness goals as well as notifications.

This gadget doubles as a music player with 4GB of internal memory for your favourite workout music. It is available in black, blue or pink.
