SINGAPORE - An SMS sent many Singaporeans into a frenzy last Friday.

The text with the sender ID "CPFBOARD" carries the message: "Dear S****123A, your ElderShield policy will be/has been terminated. Log in to careshieldlife.gov.sg/notifications with your Singpass for more details."
