SINGAPORE - Singapore's plan to roll out a network of smart lamp posts that can not only detect speeding e-scooters but also predict potentially unruly crowds has been delayed.
The initiative was supposed to bring together different government surveillance systems, which have not been integrated. It was one of the key projects mentioned by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in his National Day Rally speech in August 2017 when he spoke about making Singapore a smart nation.
