SINGAPORE - While Singaporeans will have to wait till Nov 3 to get their hands on Apple's new iPhone X, local singer JJ Lin has already got first dibs on the premium device.
Lin, 36, was invited to the tech giant's new headquarters at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, where the phone - which features 3D facial recognition - was launched during a special event to commemorate the iPhone's 10th anniversary.
A Facebook post on Wednesday (Sept 13) morning showed Lin chatting with Apple CEO Tim Cook about the new Apple campus.
He was heard telling Cook that he was "really inspired" by the surroundings.
Lin also took a selfie holding the iPhone X, which will retail here from $1,648 (64GB, without contract) to $1,888 (256GB, without contract).
"It was an amazing experience, to witness the next step in technology, and how the team continues to push boundaries and change lives through their core beliefs," he wrote.
The post has since garnered over 25,000 reactions and attracted more than 200 comments.
Lin also posted two Facebook Live videos of him touring the campus and attending the iPhone X launch event. Both videos have racked up close to 400,000 views in total.
This is not the first time the singer has rubbed shoulders with Cook. Last year, Lin and the Apple chief teamed up to promote Apple's GarageBand app.
The duo were filmed jamming together, with Lin later saying he felt like a star-struck fan when he met Cook.
