There is a war on smartphone bezels. These borders, which surround the smartphone display, are beating a retreat on the latest handsets as smartphone makers strive to create an all-screen device.

The trend of increasing the size of the screen relative to its body - also known as screen-to-body ratio - really took off last year as industry giants Apple and Samsung released new flagship phones sporting minimal bezels.
