SINGAPORE - Banking executive Gong Lei, 35, bought a 23.8-inch monitor about three weeks ago, when he started working from home following the elevation of Singapore's response to the coronavirus outbreak to code orange on Feb 7.

"The bigger monitor helps me to look at documents easily, rather than squinting at my laptop's small screen," he says.
