End of 12-inch MacBook leaves gap in laptop line-up

By discontinuing the model, Apple has created a void between the iPad Pro and MacBook Air that other laptop-makers might be eager to fill

I am still using the 13-inch MacBook Air that I bought in late 2012, which cost nearly $4,000 with its maxed-out specifications.

It was my best investment then. I still remember carrying it to edit photos and file stories, while pounding the never-ending show floors of the CES mega electronics trade show in Las Vegas, with the Air's 1.3kg weight saving my shoulders and back from being further strained by the toil.
