Adapters you might want to get

HyperDrive USB Type-C 5-in-1 Hub

If you are going to buy the Touch Bar MacBook Pro, here are some adapters to get.

HyperDrive USB Type-C 5-in-1 Hub

US$49.95 (S$71.18)

This is my personal favourite and a definite must-have. It does not have any dangling cable and plugs straight into the USB-C port on the side of the MacBook, or the Thunderbolt3 port of the Touch Bar MacBook Pro.

Once connected, you get five more ports: a USB-C port, a microSD card slot, a SD card slot and two USB 3.0 ports. They should be sufficient for most needs.

Plus, it has an aluminium enclosure and comes in gold, space grey (version reviewed) or silver, so it fits nicely with the design of the new MacBook Pro. This is something that Apple should have designed.

The only downer is that you have to order it online from hypershop.com, as it is not available in retail stores here.

Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter

$68

Made by Apple, this adapter lets you connect the Touch Bar MacBook Pro to an HDMI display, while also connecting a standard USB device and a USB-C charging cable.

However, when I first plugged it into the review MacBook Pros, it asked for an update.

Still, it is a good buy if you need to plug your laptop to an external display with HDMI.

J5Create JCH346

$82.90

This adapter gives you three extra USB 3.0 ports, for connecting USB flash drives, external drives and other devices. Plus, it has a USB-C port for charging and another USB-C port for connecting USB-C-compatible devices. But the pricing is a bit steep.
