New Products, Sept 13, 2017: Logitech Craft, Sony RX0 and more

Logitech Craft

Logitech Craft

KEYBOARD

$329

The Logitech Craft is said to be the first keyboard to feature a creative input dial. Coined as the Crown, this touch-sensitive aluminium dial can be customised to provide context-specific functions. For example, it can be used to adjust the brush size of Adobe PhotoShop Illustrator CC, or the font size on Microsoft Word.

You can also use the Crown to change desktops, navigate between apps or adjust volume. In addition, the Craft can be switched among three computers (Mac or Windows) - connected either via Logitech's Unifying USB receiver or Bluetooth - with a touch of one of its Easy-Switch buttons.

Sony RX0

ACTION CAMERA

Pricing to be confirmed; available next month

Sony has decided that its illustrious RX compact series needs an action camera. And so it launched the RX0.

The RX0 weighs a mere 110g and measures 59mm by 40.5mm by 29.8mm, or no bigger than a quarter of a Rubik's Cube. Yet, it is packed with a one-inch 15.3-megapixel image sensor and a fixed 24mm f/4 lens. It can shoot at a maximum shutter speed of 1/32,000sec and at an amazing 16 frames per sec.

It is water-resistant down to 10m, shock-resistant from heights of up to 2m, and crush-resistant to weights of up to 200kg.

Nespresso Essenza Mini

HOME APPLIANCE

$158

If you feel your coffee machine is taking up too much of your limited kitchen top space, you might want to get the Nespresso Essenza Mini.

It is Nespresso's smallest machine and comes in two shapes and four colours. There is the usual rectangular-shaped Essenza Mini in white and grey, and the quirky triangular-shaped model that comes in red and green.

Regardless of your choice, it is still the same Nespresso machine that gives you great coffee with a push of a button.

Canon EOS M100

MIRRORLESS CAMERA

Pricing and availability to be confirmed

Targeted at photography beginners and the smartphone generation, the EOS M100 is Canon's entry-level mirrorless interchangeable lens camera.

The 24-megapixel M100 sports a 3-inch touchscreen display that can be tilted at 180 degrees for selfies. With Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Near Field Communication connectivity, users can easily pair it with their smartphones to share pictures. It also features the latest Digic 7 processor and Canon's Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology for fast autofocusing in Live View, whether capturing images or videos.

Beats Solo3 Wireless (The Neighborhood Collection)

WIRELESS HEADPHONES

$398

Part of the brand's The Neighborhood Collection series, the Beats Solo3 Wireless now comes in four new colours - Brick Red, Turf Green, Asphalt Gray and Break Blue. These city-inspired colours are said to represent the vivid environments of the world's most interesting neighbourhoods.

Other than the new colours, the Solo3 wireless headphones are still the same headphones with the Apple W1 chip for easy one-step Bluetooth connection as well as the ability to toggle between iCloud-registered devices.

Cooler Master Notepal L2

LAPTOP STAND

$39

Is your laptop heating up too fast? The Cooler Master Notepal L2 can help.

This laptop stand, which tilts your laptop at an 8-degree angle for better ergonomics and viewing angle, has a large 16cm fan with blue LED lighting to dissipate heat. Using a single fan means less noise and superior air flow.

All you need to do is to plug a micro-USB cable from your laptop to the Notepal. It supports up to 17-inch laptops.
