Panasonic ToughBook CF-MX4

LAPTOP

$3,220

Frequent travellers with butter fingers should take a look at Panasonic's new ToughBook CF-MX4.

This laptop's magnesium alloy chassis is able to take harsh punishment, such as being dropped from a height of up to 76cm. Or being jolted by forces measuring up to 100kg. However, despite its ruggedness, it does not skimp on features.

It comes with a full high-definition 12.5-inch touchscreen display and weighs only 1.1kg. It also comes with a 360-degree hinge that allows you to turn it into a tablet in an instantaa.

Sony α7R II

MIRRORLESS CAMERA

$4,099 (body only), available from August 2015

The Sony α7R II mirrorless camera gives photographers an edge when it comes to image resolution. It features the world's first 42.4-megapixel back-illuminated full-frame CMOS sensor.

It is also one of the best when it comes to low-light photography, with an ISO range that stretches to 102,400.

In terms of auto-focusing (AF) speed, it betters the original a7R by about 40 per cent. This is thanks to having 399 focal-plane phase-detection AF points. A five-axis image stabilisation system helps reduce camera shake.

Asus ZenPad C7.0

TABLET

$199

You would never guess how affordable the ZenPad C 7.0 is by just looking at it. Its embossed leather patterns, polished metallic frame and overall premium looks befit a device costing more.

Furthermore, this 3G Android tablet is only 8.4mm thick and weighs 265g, making it very portable. It features dual SIM-card slots, so you can use a foreign data SIM card alongside your Singapore line. It is available in black or white.

Logitech G310 Atlas Dawn

GAMING KEYBOARD

$179

For gamers, a lag of mere milliseconds can make the difference between victory and defeat.

This is where the Logitech G310 Atlas Dawn compact mechanical gaming keyboard proves its mettle.

It uses Logitech's exclusive Romer-G switches that register key presses up to 25 per cent faster than conventional switches. A rated operating life of 70 million keystrokes means that you can pound away at the keys without worry.

Its lightweight and compact design allows you to carry it easily to gaming events.

It also has uniform backlighting, to help you find the right keys in the heat of a virtual battle.

Withings Activite Pop

FITNESS TRACKER

$269, available exclusively at axtrosports.com

It looks like a normal analog watch, but the Withings Activite Pop is a fitness tracker as well.

It tracks your daily activities and is smart enough to automatically recognise if you are jogging or swimming. So there is no need to press a combination of buttons before starting your workout. It tracks your sleep cycles automatically too.

Fitness data is automatically synced to the Health Mate app (Android or iOS) on your smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0. Battery life is rated at eight months.
