In what was Singapore's worst cyber attack, hackers broke into the patient database of SingHealth, stealing the data of more than 1.5 million patients, including that of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
For the data breach, the Integrated Health Information Systems, which is the central IT agency responsible for Singapore's healthcare sector, was fined $750,000. SingHealth was fined $250,000.
