Comex, one of Singapore's biggest and oldest IT and consumer technology exhibitions, is here again.
Organised by Exhibits Inc, a Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) subsidiary, the four-day event at Suntec Singapore (levels 3, 4 and 6) starts today.
This year's show is more than a collection of the latest gadgets and gizmos.
For starters, there is a Tech Showcase area at level 4, where you can check out the latest in consumer technology.
For instance, you can play virtual reality games with Samsung's Gear VR Innovator Edition for its Galaxy S6.
There is also a GameX show area where gamers can test their skills at the Challenge Arena, in games such as CounterStrike: Global Offensive and Dota 2.
More bang for your buck at Comex 2015
Expect plenty of eye-candy too, with cosplayers from Singapore and South Korea making appearances there.
Of course, no Comex is complete without its booth babes.
There is also a Booth Babes contest. All you have to do is take selfies with the booth babes, upload the pictures to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #comexbabes and you could win $300 if your picture is chosen.
This year's show also offers visitors a convenient way to fund their tech purchases.
Take your used laptops, LCD monitors, smartphones, tablets and even desktop computers (except do-it-yourself PCs), to the trade-in counters at the entrance of Hall 402/403.
There, you can exchange the used items for Comex 2015 cash vouchers. Go to http://www.comexshow.com.sg/tradein for more information about the trade-in prgramme.
You can also trade in old gaming consoles for Comex cash vouchers at the Recycle Point located at the entrance of Hall 604 during the show.
As for the shopping, expect great deals and interesting gadgets galore.
Looking for a thin and light laptop? Check out the Asus ZenBook UX305 (Booth 8218). Or how about a personal transportation gear for a change? Give the new Inokim (Booth 6628) Quick 2 electric scooter a spin.
If you are looking for lightning fast Internet at home, MyRepublic (Booth 8338) is ready to make you happy. Its broadband plans include one in which you pay $59.99 a month for two 1Gbps fibre connections, instead of the usual $99.98 per month.
The plan lets you use two different lines to different areas of your home using two routers, each powered by 1Gbps. Fantastic for gamers or Netflix users.
That's not all. You also stand to win up to $12,388 in a lucky draw. For every $50 spent or paid in deposit, you get one chance to take part in the lucky draw.
Previously, it was one chance for every $100 spent. This means your chance of winning has doubled in this year's show.
So grab your smartphone camera and credit card and get ready to walk the floor for selfies, gadgets and bargains.
