Japanese imaging giant Fujifilm has its 45-year-old design manager Masazumi Imai to thank for the success of its X-series cameras.

In its latest quarterly earnings report released in February, Fujifilm reported a 40.2 per cent year-on-year increase in revenue for its imaging division. It attributed the bullish quarter to the strong sales of its X-series mirrorless cameras.
