Artificial intelligence and 5G mobile technology were the focus at this year's IFA, Europe's largest consumer electronics and home appliances trade show, held in the German capital

Artificial intelligence (AI) and 5G continue to drive tech conversations this year, as evidenced by the flurry of announcements around both technolgies at the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) - Europe's largest consumer electronics and home appliances trade show - in Berlin last week.

Among the AI-related announcements were those from tech giant Amazon, which partnered German consumer electronics firm Grundig to launch the world's first smart television running Amazon's Fire TV platform with hands-free voice control.
