According to SMRT chief communications officer Margaret Teo, the recordings are viewed by authorised staff only when required, and are stored securely in SMRT's Bus Operations Control Centre.

SINGAPORE - The next time you take an SMRT bus and a fare inspector approaches you, beware - you might just be on camera.
SMRT buses' route controllers, who act as bus inspectors and verify that people have paid their fares, have been armed with body cameras while on duty since January this year.
