Some 40 young paddlers from Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, China and Singapore participated in the inaugural Singapore Hopes Invitational Table Tennis tournament held at the headquarters of the Singapore Table Tennis Association in Toa Payoh over the weekend. The Under-12 event was held in celebration of World Table Tennis Day, which will be commemorated on Wednesday. A Singapore team comprising Jaedon Foo and Daniel Ng won the boys' category. Japan's Shunsuke Saito and Kei Katayama were second, followed by Singapore's Huang Sikai and Benjamin Hee in third place.
