Martina Veloso, 18, first learned to shoot at Yishun Safra's shooting range. She earned her first individual gold medal at the SEA Games last year and is hoping to win a medal at her second Commonwealth Games outing in April.

Martina Veloso first shot into the limelight at 13 - a girl who hit a perfect 400 in the women's 10m air rifle at the HomeTeamNS Invitation Shoot in 2013.

After the records, came the silverware for the rifle specialist who picked up the sport in 2012 - gold at the International Junior Shooting meet and bronze in the Asian Youth Games in 2013 before becoming the first Singaporean to win a shooting World Cup event in Munich in 2014.
