YOG: Buenos Aires wins bid to host 3rd edition in 2018

LAUSANNE, Switzerland (Xinhua) - The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Thursday that Buenos Aires will be the host city of the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in 2018.

The capital of Argentina, which had lost out by one vote to Melbourne for the right to host the 1956 Summer Olympics, beat Glasgow in Scotland and Medellin in Colombia.

Singapore hosted the inaugural YOG in 2010 and Nanjing will host next year's edition.
