Why big bucks will always knock out human rights

Should sports provide a free pass around issues of conscience? The answer, like much in life, gets compromised when irresistible money is on the table.

This weekend, Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr step into a new boxing arena in Saudi Arabia for purses reportedly worth US$60 million (S$81.6 million) to Joshua and US$9 million to Ruiz. Those sums exclude any separate endorsements or broadcast rights.
