The actor on stage and the athlete in the field are creative cousins. Both are transporters, taking you “live” to wondrous places. Both use bodies which speak an intense language. But their crafts are different. The actor performs in a make-believe world of emotion, the athlete works in a real one.

You can see it at the SEA Games where faces tell stories which scoreboards can’t.
