Singapore made a breakthrough in track cycling last year through Calvin Sim and Luo Yiwei, who won gold and silver respectively in the SEA Games omnium races.

The Republic will soon be on track to make similar progress in the other cycling disciplines, with the opening of the Singapore Cycling Federation (SCF) Academy at Centaurs, Turf City next month as part of the association's youth development programme.
