Thailand bagged its 50th Asean University Games gold yesterday, when the men's doubles sepak takraw team of Jutawat Srithong and Korakot Kamolpop (in yellow and blue) defeated Htet Myat Thu and Wai Lin Aung of Myanmar 2-1 in the final, held at the Singapore Sepak Takraw Federation's premises in Bedok. Malaysia's Syazreen Qamar Salehan and Nor Hafizi Abd Razak claimed the bronze medal against compatriots Kamal Ishak and Suhairi Sulaiman with a 2-0 win. The Thais' victory made up somewhat for their 0-2 loss to Malaysia in the regu final last Friday.
