SINGAPORE - Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza showed just why they are the WTA Tour's most dominant doubles partnership on Sunday afternoon when they trounced the Spanish pair of Garbine Muguruza and Carla Suarez-Navarro 6-0, 6-3 at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global.

The win means Hingis and Mirza remained undefeated in their debut at the season finale. They are now on a 22-match unbeaten streak. They also did not drop a set en route to the final at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Said Hingis: "Today was a perfect day. Our energy was better. Sania just played out of her mind - she was on her side, behind me, everywhere."

Mirza had won the doubles title last year with Cara Black, who is taking a break from the sport. The Indian began her partnership with Hingis in March this year and the duo were crowned the year-end world No. 1 pair two nights ago at the Singapore Tennis Evening at Marina Bay Sands.

As a pairing, they also won Wimbledon and the US Open this year.

The singles final between the Czech Republic's Petra Kvitova and Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska will start at 6.30pm, Sunday evening.
