Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova kissing the Billie Jean King trophy after winning the season-ending BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global at the Singapore Indoor Stadium last night. The 27-year-old world No. 8 stunned world No. 1 Angelique Kerber of Germany 6-3, 6-4 to complete an unlikely victory on her debut appearance at the elite tournament, which showcases the top eight women players of every season. The shortest player among the eight players this year at a mere 1.61m tall, Cibulkova, nicknamed the "Pocket Rocket", captivated tennis fans with her aggressive shot-making and incessant running - traits which were in full flow during her dream run at this competition. She will climb to world No. 5 after this win.
