New queen Naomi Osaka's crowning eclipsed by aftermath of Serena Williams spat

Naomi Osaka triumphed over Serena Williams in every sense last Saturday. The Japanese outplayed the veteran physically and mentally, overpowering the most physically intimidating woman the sport has ever seen.

And throughout the Williams tantrum in the US Open final that tennis' top brass shamefully turned into a gender issue, the young woman from Osaka prefecture seemed to be the only person in the Arthur Ashe Stadium capable of sporting values.
