SINGAPORE - Civil engineer Timothy Toh walked away with a Longines watch worth over $1,500 on Wednesday (June 20) after winning a contest jointly run by the watchmaker and The Straits Times.

The 28-year-old was one of the 1,700 ST subscribers who entered the contest through the SPH Rewards app.

The contest took place alongside the May 21-June 10 French Open, one of tennis' most prestigious events, with Longines giving away a Conquest V.H.P. watch in the lead-up to the finals. ST subscribers who wanted to win the watch had to answer one question through the SPH Rewards app.

Toh, who was presented with the watch by Longines Singapore brand manager Jas Guo at the SPH lobby, said: "(Winning the watch) was unexpected as it (depended) on the luck of the draw, and I participated for the fun of it.

"I want to thank Longines and The Straits Times for their generosity in making this happen."
