The Naomi Osaka Show is in town and it's a powerful attraction. A swollen, noisy stadium on a Monday night was a salute to the Japanese and 29 journalists have flown in from her nation. New talent is always in urgent need of biographers.

The Naomi Osaka Show promises theatre and fans appeared wearing her flag on their cheeks, her name on their lips and their devotion on signs. They lived every point with her and groaned through every disappointment. This was Singapore posing as Tokyo.
