Para-athletes (front row, from second left) Suhairi Suhaini, Norsilawati Sa'at, Muhammad Diroy Noordin, para-sailors Jovin Tan, Yap Qian Yin and para-archer Nur Syahidah Alim (behind Tan) were in buoyant mood last night before flying to Rio de Janeiro for the Sept 7-18 Paralympic Games. They were sent off by family members, friends, sports officials and supporters at Changi Airport. Singapore is fielding its largest-ever contingent of 13 para-athletes who will be competing across six sports (archery, athletics, boccia, equestrian, swimming and sailing). Boccia athletes Nurulasyiqah Mohammad Taha and Toh Sze Ning will depart on a separate flight tonight.
