Table tennis: Singapore lose 2-3 to Hong Kong in semi-finals of Asian Championships

The Singapore women's table tennis team, ranked second in the world, were shocked 2-3 by fifth-ranked Hong Kong in the semi-finals of the Asian Championships in Busan, South Korea, on Monday night.

Feng Tianwei, the country's top player who is ranked fourth in the world, bagged both the Republic's points. She beat Lee Ho Ching 3-1 and Jiang Huajun 3-0.

But her team-mates Yu Mengyu and Isabelle Li both fell.

Yu lost to Jiang and Lee, both by a 1-3 margin while Li was defeated 3-2 by Guan Mengyuan.
