Singapore's paddlers have begun their campaign at the South-east Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships in Manila with two golds and two silvers.
The Under-18 girls' team, consisting of Lin Ye, Lim Yixuan, Yee Herng Hwee and Cheryl Tang, beat Thailand 3-1 in the final to secure gold. The Under-15 girls' team, consisting of Ang Wan Qi and Gladys Wong, also beat Malaysia 3-1 for the title.
The two silvers came courtesy of the Under-18 and Under-15 boys' team.
The Under-18 team were whitewashed 0-3 by Thailand in the final, while the Under-15 squad lost out narrowly 2-3 to Thailand.
A total of 94 players from seven countries in the region are competing in the annual tournament, which continues till Tuesday.
