Swimming: Swim With Us campaign aims to rally support for aquatics athletes

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) launched its new "Swim With Us" campaign on Saturday to rally support for its SEA Games athletes ahead of the competition in June.

It also unveiled a new national identity that brings all five aquatics disciplines - diving, swimming, synchronised swimming, water polo and open-water swimming - under one main team, called The Red Lions.

Represented by a lion - to symbolise courage, strength and excellence - and five stars for the five disciplines, the ceremony was attended by Minister for Manpower and Singapore National Olympic Council president Tan Chuan-Jin at the Kallang Wave Mall.

Besides the SEA Games in June, the Republic will also host three other major swimming meetings, the Fina World Junior Championships in August and Fina World Cup and Fina Diving Grand Prix in October.

As part of the "Swim With Us" campaign, the SSA will redevelop its website and extend its social media outreach.
